The document will start by covering the new PeopleSoft upgrade tool used in version 8 and higher. This new tool, which is still being enhanced, makes the upgrade process much easier to perform.
The document will then cover the hardware and software requirements needed for an upgrade. Since every upgrade is unique, you will be given general guidelines so that you can gauge your own upgrade requirements. Then a frank discussion on personnel will be given which covers the impact to your organization as well as potential outsourcing you could do.
Finally, the specific steps you can use for your upgrade will be covered. The document will cover from creating the demo system through going live in production and all the steps in-between.
