This presentation is designed to deliver information about the PeopleSoft Inventory Shipping process so that you can understand how it works, the key processes and elements as well as the detail record and field information.
This presentation will not teach you how to set up inventory or how to run the shipping process. You may get a sense of how to run the shipping process as each individual step will be covered but not every setting and every field will be discussed.
The Inventory Shipping process can be simple or quite complex with all of the capabilities turned on. The ideas taught here will help you with processing the data and understanding what fields and statuses are critical for getting your orders shipped. You will not be taught how to use all these myriad features just what can impact you from processing your orders through the inventory shipping process.
Target Audience
This presentation is targeted for the Developer, Functional Analyst or Super User of the Inventory system. This information can be used to generate better reports or queries for the Functional Analyst or the Super User. There is also a lot of detailed information to help the developer in debugging processes as well as coding for new modifications so that they do not break the existing PeopleSoft processes.
This information is not designed for the user of the Inventory modules since it does not cover what fields are required on a page nor how each field affects the process. Key and critical information is of course covered

Step by Step Detail Information
First we will go over the general flow of the Inventory shipping process and then start the step by step detail information. This step by step will take you through the entire Inventory shipping process from order entry to accounting creation.
