How to set up Autoputaway
First you will learn about the purposes and uses of the Putaway process. Next, you will learn how to set up the inventory business units. Once you have the set up done, you begin by loading data into the putaway tables. The next step in the process is to run the load staged items process. There a batch program runs and data tables are updated. Then, continuing with the process, you deal with errors if any are encountered. The next step is to run the Putaway Report and then enter in the feedback as to where you really did putaway the inventory. Finally, the last step is to run the Putaway process itself. But the learning is not done, since the Putaway process has a special control where you can set up the autoputaway process.
As you learn about each step, a great deal of under the covers information will be given to you. As you work through the steps the key records and fields will be discussed to complete your learning so that you can not only understand the functional but the technical issues as well.
